The 'Ghost' and the Gray Lady

Multi-talented Ed Park -- novelist, Believer editor, mensch -- is proclaimed the "Wizard of Whimsy" in the Times today for his mischievous weekly newsletter, The New-York Ghost, which occasionally features phantasmal photography by yours truly. Brooklyn Book Fest Alert

Esteemed friend of BIB and Dizzies proprietor Ed Park will be appearing at this Sunday's Brooklyn Book Festival: 5:00 p.m. Everyone's a (Former) Critic Three music and arts critics known for their humor discuss what it means to be a critic and the art of writing beyond the review. Featuring popular essayist, memoirist, critic and soon-to-be novelist Chuck Klosterman, Rolling Stone music critic and new memoirist Rob Sheffield, and Believer editor and former [name of publication redacted] editor/critic Ed Park, whose comic novel Personal Days will be released in 2008.
